"Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World" is the ninth track from U2's 1991 album, Achtung Baby.
When playing it live on the Zoo TV Tour, Bono would grab a bottle of champagne, and spray the audience with it. It was played 136 times out of the 159 times on the tour, but has not been performed since then. This song was edited out of their live video release Zoo TV: Live from Sydney. People believe that it was cut due to the girl Bono danced with was underage, and so they could fit the concert into a two-hour timeslot.[citation needed]
The Line "A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle" was originally taken from American Feminist icon, and Journalist Gloria Steinem, who happens to be the widow of David Bale, Father of actor Christian Bale.[citation needed]
