[edit] Polar Design

Hi TruthBringer. Another editor, UtherSRG deleted [Polar Design] without explanation, apparently because it was left in the queue. I believe you removed it from queue for several reasons a few months ago. The deletion review article is here if you would care to contribute your thoughts? Thank you!

[edit] eTouch

Dear Truthbringer: I have revised the eTouch article to emphasize notability as requested. Below is the copy and also current Wikipedia entries for companies that have a similar offering. Please clarify why these articles are notable and why mine is not. I cannot determine the difference.

Also: eTouch's work with NASA has been documented by the San Jose Mercury News, Computerworld, Government Computer News, The Web Hosting Industry Review, and many other publications that cover the Internet as well as space exploration.

eTouch Systems is a Fremont, Calif., software company that has developed proprietary social computing technologies including an enterprise wiki solution built on a J2EE platform called SamePage. Founded in 1998, eTouch has developed collaboration software powered by a comprehensive Content Management solution. Customers include Cisco, Kaplan, Johnson & Johnson, and NASA.

As the prime contractor for NASA, eTouch led the effort to help the space agency consolidate its 3,000 web sites into a more manageable, single public web portal to inspire the next generation of space explorers. Built on eTouch’s CMS product, NASA’s public portal delivers up-to-the-minute, engaging multimedia coverage of NASA’s wide variety of programs, including dazzling photos and streaming media content from the Mars Rovers mission, the Cassini flyby and the ongoing space shuttle missions. eTouch’s partnerships with Akamai Technologies and Yahoo! ensures that the content can be delivered to anyone on earth and downloaded on the Internet in less than two seconds without interruption or failure.

Since the launch of the Mars Rover missions, NASA’s web traffic has skyrocketed to 50 Gigabytes during special space events, such as the Return to Flight shuttle mission in July 2005 and the Atlantis space shuttle mission to resume construction of the International Space Station in September of 2006. Peak traffic of 50 Gigabytes is equal to all the words in all the books that would fill the U.S. Library of Congress 63 times.

eTouch has leveraged its experience with organizations like NASA to build out an enterprise-class wiki with a blog publishing tool. eTouch SamePage provides a number of advanced features, including WYSIWYG editing, project management, permissioning, administration and support for multiple domains.

Personally I don't think he's notable enough outsite the band to have his own article, but I'll restore it if you want me to. -- Steel 21:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

I've restored. Please consider merging all the content from the individual member articles into the main band article. -- Steel 22:00, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Notice to editor on AfD nomination

Re you comments on my talk page, in recent times I have always gone to a prod (or sometimes speedy) before going forward with an AfD nomination. I will make a concerted effort going forward to place the AfD notice tag on an editor's page if they are not the person who removed the prod tag. If they removed the tag, I assume they are watching the article and a notice is not needed. This is a form of instruction creep.--Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 22:00, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

  • I indicated to you I would add a notice to the user pages of the creators of pages I nominate for AfD. you left the following template as what should be used, {{subst:afd|Name of article}}, but when I went to add that to a users talk page, it did not work.--Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 13:29, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
  • I meant to say {{subst:adw|Name of article}}. adw probably stands for Article Deletion Warning. I'm sorry. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 19:44, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Can you take a look at this?

Can you look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Anthropogeology and tell me what I did wrong? I have not listed an article for deletion in a while, and there have been some changes. So, apparently, I did something wrong, 'cause this does not look right. Thank you for your time. ---Charles 23:28, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Thanks for your note. There was a misplaced {{subst: which I removed. I also commented on the nomination. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 23:43, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
    • Thanks for taking a look. I've listed a dozen articles, at least, for AfD, I'm not sure why I had trouble this time. ---Charles 23:48, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Murder of Angels

I don't know if reviews really count much or if the websites that did the reviews are significant. The interview barely mentions the Murder of Angels project. Still does not seem like much to me. -Sorry Nv8200p talk 04:41, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lloyd Levitin

[edit] Peter Yavanov

Can you please explain why you decided to Speedy Keep Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Peter Yavanov, a probable hoax article when all of it's votes during the day were for deletion. --Ineffable3000 07:03, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion of Aussie Pollie Stubs

I am very concerned about the recent deletion of around 50 stubs on Australian politicians. These articles lay the foundation for what Wikipedia will one day be..."a multilingual free encyclopedia of the highest possible quality to every single person on the planet in their own language" (Jimmy Wales). This however will not happen overnight. I draw parallels to my own project on Central Coast, New South Wales articles. 90% of the suburbs are stubs. But these stubs encourage anyone to edit. Even trivial information has a place on Wikipedia. It should not worry YOU if the articles contained very little information, but you should be happy that the articles had information. In many cases these articles only needed an infobox and they would have been reasonably adequate. In closing I ask anyone who has supported their deletion, that you reconsider your vote by visiting this page: Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2006 September 30#Albert Piddington (Australian politician) Todd661 10:18, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Strata

In reference to your comment about Strata touring nationally according to their website:WP:MUSIC states "Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one large or medium-sized country,[1] reported in NOTABLE and verifiable sources." (Emphasis mine) This means notability is not gained by having a national tour, but by having a national tour that was notable enough to be notable to a notable source! Sorry about the overuse of that word for a second. As far as wikipedia is concerned, I do not believe that bigger is better. It is important to stand by wikipedia policy. Green hornet 21:04, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chester Lovelle Talton

I'm not sure that I agree that Bishops are generally notable, but I'm certainly satisfied that this Bishop is notable due to the additions you have made. Nice job. Erechtheus 03:37, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Ancient Apostolic Communion

Hello,

Would you please take a moment to look over The Ancient Apostolic Communion article and its talk page. It has been nominated for deletion and I believe it is just as notable as other articles on Independent Catholic Churches.

Thank you. --Kf4bdy talk contribs 01:58, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

I added one link I could find to an article that mentions us in the Aiken Standard newspaper. That is all I have at the moment although there have been two other articles printed one in the North Augusta Star and one in the Kentucky New Era but neither have them in archive online. Is there a way I can add the info from a print article? --Kf4bdy talk contribs 02:34, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes. Just cite the print articles in the same way you would in an academic essay, and include a summary if the headline does not offer a sufficient description of the article. See Wikipedia:Citing sources, also known as WP:CITE, for a discussion how to cite newspaper articles. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 02:39, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Do you mind giving it another once over? I have added some reliable sources. --Kf4bdy talk contribs 03:33, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
I changed bi-vocational to "All clergy in the church have paid jobs outside the church", which I think says the same thing. I have heard the term "worker priest" for clergy in this situation, possibly in the context of the Liberal Catholic Church. You mention the number of clergy, but you should also mention the number of the faithful. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 06:19, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for all your help. I have made the changes you suggested. Just slipped my mind while working on this article. --Kf4bdy talk contribs 06:35, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Tracom group

Hello - I got your message and I admit to being a little confused - but I'm trying to fix the issues that you have mentioned. Social Style is actually a model known world-wide in the human resources/training & development industries and people often ask where it originated. This page details where and how it originated. I've been researching this - speaking with professors at universities (who often also don't know where social style originated). I notice that people use style as a behavioral term and I'm not even sure if they know that it came from social style. Meaning - in the circles that I associate with this is definitely of interest to people and it's notable because it's part of the history of interpersonal skills development - and is comparable to what most people in the general public know about a Myers-Briggs test - which is personality - but social style is behavioral. My point is that I will go in and try and cite more references - but for people in the HR and Training industries - this is of importance- it tells them the history of why they use the models that they use - and where they originated.Contribute Ideas 15:13, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

It seems that this page has already been deleted and I can't go in and edit it - please get in touch with me - I'd like to cite more references. And I absolutely believe this is very notable to people in the industry.Contribute Ideas 16:08, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Sorry for the late reply; the page can now be found at User:Contribute Ideas/TRACOM. Cheers and happy editing. Lectonar 14:33, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I'm confused :(

I would appreciate your help if possible. I'm quite new to all this and am having trouble understanding why exactly the article on Anthony Yadgaroff is being deleted.

His name was listed on another wikipedia entry (for Bhukaran Jews) and thus we decided to put some information up about him should people want to read it.

I have tried to verify things by adding web sites for various mentioned companies etc, but it seems this is not good enough. It may just be me but I am very confused about what is actually wanted from me in order for this article to remain live.

I am quite happy to change it so that it follows the rules, but I'm just not sure how!

If you could please help that would be brilliant. Thanks.Kimwatkins 13:51, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your help. I have had a look at the WP: BIO page and do believe that Anthony Yadgaroff satisfies two of the categories, namely:

- The person made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in their specific field; and also the alternative test

- Google Test - Does a search for the subject produce a large number of distinguishable hits on Google or other well-known Internet search engine?

With this is mind, I would appreciate it if you could reconsider the deletion of this article.

Many thanks. Kimwatkins 16:10, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

  • I added two references to the article. Could you please take another look at it? ---TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 22:31, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Article viability satified. I'll drop the subject with you. I only need to get it something to link to it. If you know of another article that can link to it, please let me know. Lastly, the References section corresponds to footnotes. That is when in the article you see 1 or [1], those numbers correspond with the notes in the References section. Should anyone have a question about the article, they can read the footnote to check the information. Please try to maintain the references, as I believe they help everyone. --meatclerk 22:44, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Canvassing

Your contributions history shows that you have been aggressively cross-posting in order to influence AfD discussions. Although the Arbitration Committee has ruled that "[t]he occasional light use of cross-posting to talk pages is part of Wikipedia's common practice"1, such cross-posting should adhere to specific guidelines found in Wikipedia:Spam. In the past, aggressively worded cross-posting has contributed towards an Arbitration Committee ruling of disruptive behavior that resulted in blocking2. It is best not to game the system, and instead respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building, by ceasing to further crosspost, and instead allowing the process to reflect the opinions of editors that were already actively involved in the matter at hand. Thank you. --Calton | Talk 06:35, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Not so. Editors who have edited an article are entitled to be notified on an AfD related to their article. If the editor who creates the AfD fails to notify those who have worked on the article, it falls to other members of the community to make that notification. In future, when you create an AfD, prod or speedy, please be certain to notify the original author and subsequent editors of the article of your action using the recommended templates so that the deletion process can be seen to be fair. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 06:43, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Not so. Editors who have edited an article are entitled to be notified on an AfD Really? Where exactly is that in the US Constitution? Or maybe it's in some part of the Charter of Rights? One of the more obscure clauses in the Magna Carta?
Reality check: it's called "vote stacking", which is when you try to influence a decision by notifying only those with a vested interest in keeping something. Read the notice: talk page spamming IS frowned upon.
In future, when you create an AfD, prod or speedy, please be certain to notify the original author and subsequent editors of the article of your action. Not a chance. If they really WERE interested, they'd have it watchlisted, wouldn't they? So it's not my responsibility, nor will I waste any time whatsover that I could spend doing something actually productive.

And speaking of things you're supposed to be doing -- but in your case, it's actually true -- stop untagging copyright violations: they're SUPPOSED to be deleted outright from the history, which is the whole point of the exercise. It's bad enough you enable spam, transparent nonsense, and wannabe vanity multiple times daily, but even you should have figured that enabling copyright violation is entirely the wrong thing to do. Or has your "Every Sperm is Sacred!" campaign blinded you to that? --Calton | Talk 16:38, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Please review the Articles for deletion, which states:
  • It is generally considered civil to notify the good-faith creator and any main contributors of the article that you are nominating the article. To find the main contributors, look in the page history or talk page of the article and/or use TDS' Article Contribution Counter. For your convenience, you may use {{subst:AFDWarningNew|Article title}} (for creators who are totally new users), {{subst:AFDWarning|Article title}} (for creators), or {{subst:Adw|Article title}} (for contributors or established users).
  • Consider adding the article to your watchlist and letting the article's creator know that you have tagged it. You can use {{subst:PRODWarning|Article title}} ~~~~ for this.
Comment: To notify an editor of a prod initiated by someone else, use {{subst:PRODNote|Article title}} ~~~~
  • Users nominating a page for speedy deletion should specify which criteria the page meets; it would also be considerate to notify the original author — remember, everyone was new once. Note that global sandboxes are exempt from deletion.
To notify an original author that their article may be speedied, you can use a template such as {{Nn-warn|Name of article}} for a non-notable article or another appropriate message from Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 17:33, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your message. However, in this case I think an English source should be provided based on the editing pattern of 85.81.20.149l, so I can verify whether it is true or not. And as you can see I didn't remove the material in the other edits, I removed the reference and requested an English source. --Inahet 21:04, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] adminship?

Wow! After the Thorton School save, I wanted to give you a Barnstar. Then I saw you already had two, and I didn't want to duplicate. Then I thought about asking you about adminship! Then I re-read your first RfA.

I really don't know if I would suport or not. Would you be able to set aside your passionate inclusionism if you disagreed with consensus to delete? Could you objectively determine consensus? Would you detag CSD's instead of deleting them? These are the questions that will give you the most trouble. On the plus side, you are helpful to others and you have really done a tremendous job saving articles. I have never seen you make an uncivil remark even though you are under tremendous pressure.

I think it is a little too soon to submit an RfA just yet. I would give it another month. Have you done an Editor Review? That would help you smooth over any rough spots. Have any admins been helping you learn the ropes? If you have not been closing AfD's as a non admin, you might want to approach an admin about that. The admins at AfD probably know you prety well by now, anyway.

Let me think about it. I'd like too, but I'm still a little concerned about your judgment.Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 03:03, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

A few Kerala wikipedians are not interested in creating pages for such great artist. they may say that he is non notable and will put it for an AfD. A war is going on between Kerala wikipedians.please seeWikipedia talk:WikiProject Kerala. I have followed u and voted Keep for the article on a noted Kerala Cartoonist S. Jithesh. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/S. Jithesh (2nd nomination)Have a look...? The person who put this article for AfD himself says that he is facing mental problems..!User:Ageo020. For these guys wikipedia is just for kidding. Now what is the present condition of the article! Conspirasy against this article is cleared from the talkpages User talk:Tintin1107 .They will say there is no world outside their topic Cricket , films and pista. Sometimes they might ask u what's Kathakali...? What is the medicine for their ignorance.I have been using wikipedia for two years. I accidently came to see this site. I was searching a biography of a person inorder to write his obituary for our newspaper. That search lead me to wikipedia. But I started editing before three or four months. I'm not a computer professional. That is my disqualification. But I will not kill wikipedia through childish behaviour. But unfortunately, here often ignorance and conspiracy wins. Knowledge fails. What a pathatic situation...? I'm thinking seriously about stopping my edits in wikipedia. I cant argue with narrow-minded stupidities. I respect knowledge. But I hate ignorance and intolerance. I can proudly say that I'm the first person who created a page for Kathakali Artist. I have created the pages of Kalamandalam Hyderali, and Kottakkal Sivaraman. I used to contribute on Kerala related art, culture and Malayalam Literature.I have more than 500 edits. The problem I'm facing is that Malayalam Newspaper reports aren't available through google.U r a truthbringer.I too believe in truth! Nileena joseph 03:47, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Thank you for your note. Please keep writing articles, but make sure that they have good references. References do not need to be available online. As long as the reference is complete (name of newspaper, date, name of article, page number, etc.) People will welcome more articles about Kerala as long as notability and verifiability can be demonstrated. It is usually best to write the article offline and then add it all at once rather than using Wikipedia as a word-processing program.
  • As well, sometimes an article about another artist in the same field can be a useful model for an article that you are writing. Terry Mosher is a Canadian cartoonist. If you follow the pattern of the Terry Mosher article, it will be easier to write an article about a cartoonist from Kerala. Thank you again for your note. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 04:00, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

But what can I do...? User:Utcursch has protected that page from further editing. But a hot discussion is going on in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Kerala.Have a look...!Nileena joseph 20:13, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Neil Rees

Hi. I know we don't exactly see eye to eye on deletions in general. (And I'm perfectly ok with that) But I am a bit puzzled to see you de-prod the article on Neil Rees and then argue in the ensuing AfD that it looks like he's not notable enough. If you felt he was not notable, wouldn't it be simpler to let the prod run? Pascal.Tesson 12:57, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

  • You're right. I deprodded the article because he initially seemed notable. When I tried to expand the article further in response to the AfD, I found that I couldn't find much additional evidence, so I thought that I ought to explain what I found and couldn't find. I think that deans are usually notable because they can do a lot of good or harm in their jobs, but in this case it's hard to demonstrate motability.
  • I wrote a similar comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Donald Covington, another case where I suspect that the person is notable but I can't prove it. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 13:49, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Eric Schoenberg

Thanks for letting me know. Although the article asserts notability, it is a copyvio from www.om28.com/abouteric.html (dismissing small differences). I am sorry for having brought all this mess around. -- ReyBrujo 02:55, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] thank you

Hi TruthbringerToronto Thank you for your immediate assistance with Korean Archaeological Society article. I'm very pleased to have fellow Canadians at my side, fighting for our NPOV of the Wikiworld. Sorry to hear you're unhappy. Is that because it has been overcast and dark here in T.Dot for almost a month??? Hmmm... ah to be in Saskatchewan, my great, wide, and sunny homeland. ㅋㅋ Did you vote today? cheers, Mumun 20:41, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Unhappy because some editors are too quick to label articles as spam or not notable when the articles can be salvaged. As for the municipal elections, I voted just over a week ago in the advance poll.
  • You might want to create a Korean-language article about the Korean Archaeological Society at ko:韓國考古學會 I can't read or write Korean, but I'm still interested in the Wikipedias in other languages. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 21:01, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] PREVOST Edits

Hello TruthbringerToronto, I'm LinuxDude, and I see you've contributed to the PREVOST article which I've also contributed to. I also noticed that you've warned anonymous user User:69.159.218.163 to stop his vandalism (thanks for doing that BTW). How can I help get him banned if he continues? I believe the same user is also coming from the IP 64.231.100.174.

--LinuxDude 21:54, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your message about the problems with 69.159.218.163 (talkcontribspage movesblock userblock log) and HMCS Prevost. Please take a look at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. You can report vandalism there, but read the instructions carefully. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 22:20, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for taking an interest in the Clare Youth Theatre Article. Those references may hopefully keep it from being deleted. Exiledone 19:15, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Oceaneering International Services

I agree you have established notability, so I removed the prod. Thanks! 66.108.48.154

[edit] Publimedia International

I have difficulty finding reliable sources in English using Google only, out of these 71 results for Publimedia Romania and 23 results for Publimedia MediaPRO. Hence I don't think I'll be the one to undelete the page. IMO it'd be better to rewrite from scratch, which CSD G11 allows you to do. (The deleted versions didn't even list Publimedia's website; from what I Googled there is also an Italian company of the same name.) Kimchi.sg 15:20, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Btw I also deleted other equally spammy pages which might be worth redirecting or rewriting: ProTV Magazin, Ce se intampla, doctore?, and DESCOPERA. Given what I've seen from searching for the main publisher, perhaps you should just write a section on what they publish and redirect all the magazine titles there. But that's my deletionist POV. Kimchi.sg 15:34, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Done. Userfied under their respective titles. Kimchi.sg 01:01, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Also userfied for your rewriting - User:TruthbringerToronto/The ONE, User:TruthbringerToronto/TARGET, User:TruthbringerToronto/BUSINESS Magazin, User:TruthbringerToronto/Acasa Magazin. Kimchi.sg 01:12, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Graphic Arts Center Publishing

They may be "one of the West's largest book publishers" but there are no references to back that up, and all the promotional type copy that was removed from the article keeps getting added back by editors whose contributions are mostly to that article. The prod tag will hopefully induce someone to find sources, but the whole thing smells like vanity (and thus non-notability) to me. I'll see if I can find something on them, but I'm rather too irritated by the self-promotion to want to AGF about it. Katr67 23:37, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

I was feeling charitable so I spruced up the article. They actually forgot to mention the Oregon series of books, which was quite popular here. That and finding some outside sources convinced me of the article's notability. Keep up the good work! Katr67 04:29, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ahlstrom

It does indeed look better, but however, since it has already been entered into the AfD discussion, I cannot take down the deletion tag. You might also want to add verifiable sources to the history section. Thank you. Diez2 13:10, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

  • That may be so, but this is obviously not an encyclopedia article. I'm AfDing it since it's a college essay. Danny Lilithborne 02:49, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome subst

Hi, when you post a welcome message to a newcomer, could you use {{subst:welcome}}, {{subst:welcome2}}, etc., instead of just {{welcome}}, {{welcome2}}, etc. It means that the text of that particular template will be added to the talk page of the user instead of the user just seeing a sort of mirror image of it. Two advantages are that if the actual template is vandalized, the message you have sent will not be altered in any way, and also less load is placed on the server. For more information, please see WP:SUBST. Cheers. Mkdwtalk 09:16, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RKO Industries

Just a quick "FYI"

(following is a message I left to Vortexrealm today re: RKO Industries and associated links) I see you are systematically going about removing my submissions/additions. Unfortunately, I won't have the required time to dedicate to a comprehensive retort to your nomination of my article for deletion or your removal of the "see also" link from "recycling" until after the holiday weekend. I imagine by then (and at your current rate) I will have much work to do within associated "recycling" article discussion pages. However, please look forward to fielding my arguments at that later time. Respectfully, Recycledagplastic

Good afternoon,

I would like to include you in my most recent communication with Alex and Trialsanderrors regarding "Plastic recycling":

I realise you are clearly associated with RKO Industries. Adding external links to any articles related to plastic for this companies website is considered as spam and is against wikipedia guilines. Please refrain from putting multiple links to each associated article. Alex 13:26, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Dear Alex,

Is there a reason for you not having deleted the following sentence and reference within the "Plastic recycling" article?

"In Israel successful trials have shown that plastic films recovered from mixed municipal waste streams can be recycled into useful products.[2]"

Knowing this will help me in my reasoning during further communication with you (and others) regarding plastics and recycling articles as well as my contributions.

Recycledagplastic 14:28, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

I believe that this sentence & reference gives a pictorial illustration of an example of a proceedure of how plastic is recycled. It does not link to the top level promotional page of the site. Ideally the main article would include a pictorial illustration of plastic recycling in action.
Many of the recycling articles were previously consigned to the process of collecting recyclable materials, which is clearly not recycling. Also the Israeli plant manages to reclaim plastics of a recyclable quality from mixed wastes- this is rare in waste management. Hence I believe this is of note. If you disagree with this feel free to delete the reference & sentence.
Again I reiterate the point that I am happy to back inclusions related to your company if they do not appear simply in an advertising/marketing/spam format, they need to give value to Wikipedia on the whole. Recycling is an important area which is neglected in Wikipedia.--Alex 15:19, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Alex, Thank you for your communication. Regards, Recycledagplastic 15:31, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

You are welcome. --Alex 15:33, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

By the way, during previous editing sessions I've found myself having completed an edit only (then) to realize that I'd forgotten to log in as "Recycledagplastic." So, some of my edits are credited to IP 65.40.36.66. If you look at the "Plasticulture" article (and others), for example, you will see that my edits aren't only confined to including "RKO." I am a member of the RKO enterprise, however, my purpose is not to "spam" wiki. I do, however, hope to contribute information regarding a US domestic enterprise that is successfully recycling tens of millions of pounds of materials (annually) which, historically in the US, have primarily been either landfilled or burned on-sight at farms. The reason these materials haven't previously been removed from the waste stream and processed domestically in the US is because of their high level of soil and plant material contamination; particularly plastic mulch film. Our company's niche is processing this extremely hard to clean ag film. I find what we are doing with this particular material to be noteworthy because I can't find any other company whose staple feedstock consists of this contaminated mulch film, whereas it easily comprises 95+% of our resource. I am aware of very contaminated mulch film being containerized and sent overseas; primarily China. I am also aware of domestic US companies processing either relatively clean ag film semi-regularly, or very contaminated film seldomly. RKO has utilized readily available industrial recycling technology and continuously modified it over the course of 4 years. This has resulted in us being able to do what very few claim to do. "Florida Trend" magazine featured an article on our company in Oct. 2004. "American Vegetable Grower" magazine directs their readers to our website (along with six others) in an article on recycling drip tape in their Sept. 2006 issue. The Ft. Myers Newspress featured an article on us in May 2006 and again in June 2006. Before I began my effort in Wiki, I didn't find a single reference to the successful recycling of plastic mulch, drip tape or silage bags within these respective articles. Nor did I find any reference to the successful, or otherwise, recycling of materials in the practice of plasticulture. Still, I have read through ample search engine results regarding very contaminated mulch film not being a suitable material for effective or efficient processing. I forget if it was you or "Trialanderrors" who had undertaken an editing project concerned with articles relating to waste management/recycling. Whoever, it would seem that they would be interested in this which I've written today. However, perhaps not. Sincerely, Recycledagplastic 18:37, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

I would sincerely appreciate any feedback. Recycledagplastic 18:45, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

I received your reply at my talk; thank you. Another question: If I made contributions without being logged on under my username(mistakenly), is there anyway to associate my IP-address-identified-contributions with my user account? Recycledagplastic 17:55, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra/Temp

I deleted your copy of Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra that you placed at the temp page. What you did completely violates the GFDL. It got rid of all the history of the article. Once the article is deleted, ask the deleting admin to restore the non-copyvio versions. Metros232 14:37, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the mention

The Metrocenter Mall I am referring to, however, is located in Phoenix, Arizona, and I do have access to several historical materials via the Phoenix Public Library, including the Arizona Republic (Phoenix's major morning newspaper) that can be used as references to bolster the legitimacy of the article; I can gather those within the next 48 hours.--Msr69er 20:13, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Truro, Nova Scotia and Longueuil, Quebec

There's absolutely nothing wrong with properly posting stats from statscan, however, this user has been taking real stats on ethnic origin, regrouping them into new and different categories. [edit] Dimensional Insight

I'm not sure if those citations quite get me to a keep position (I'm wondering if the publications are too small for WP:Corp, which I think I see as being a slightly higher standard than ordinary notability.) But since I'm not sure where I think it should come out in a situation like this, I'm going to move to Neutral. Thanks for your diligence in looking for those cites, by the way, and for pointing them out to me. --TheOtherBob 01:04, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jennifer Ann's Group

Thank you for your assistance with removing the attempt to have this article "speedily deleted." I am trying to learn my way around Wiki and obviously have a long way to go. I would hate for the organization to not be represented due to my ignorance.

We expect more media soon - Texas Senator Eliot Shapleigh is introducing legislation in January, 2007 that will give the organization considerably more visibility.

[edit] Chandler Public Library

Since you removed a previous prod on this article, I thought you might be interested that I just sent it to AFD. (You might look at the big honking list of Ohio libraries I sent to AFD as well.) --Brianyoumans 08:20, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Thank you for letting me know. I left some comments at the AfD which may be relevant to other libraries as well. I think that evidence of notability of a library can often be found in the newspapers serving the library's community, but this becomes difficult if the newspaper does not keep its old articles online. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 04:54, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kay Mousley

You forgot to sign your comment in this AFD if I am not mistaken. Capitalistroadster 01:13, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Reply: Thank you for letting me know. You are quite correct. The technical explanation is that I typed five tildes (which generates only the timestamp without the signature) rather than four. I have now added my signature to my comments at the AfD. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 01:49, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thames Valley College (London, Ontario, Canada)

What you should probably do is list the article at Wikipedia:Deletion review (follow these instructions). Since what you seem to want to do is have it placed back on Articles for deletion, suggest Relist and clearly give your reasons. —Larry V (talk | contribs) 20:23, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bougnat Sans Fil

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Bougnat Sans Fil, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Bougnat Sans Fil. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Jehochman (Talk/Contrib) 17:07, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Feel free to remove prod if you are interested in working on the article. I think this article is premature. Until the WiFi network is up and running, maybe it can be mentioned in another article about municipal wifi networks. Jehochman (Talk/Contrib) 17:10, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
The network does seem to be up and running, and the article has some references to articles printed in French newspapers. I don't think the prod is appropriate any longer. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 19:47, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Axino and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Axino

Hi, TruthbringerToronto. Considering the message you left me here, I changed my vote to keep. The article was greatly improved. It is now a very good stub. I like especially the references section. --Meno25 00:18, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Eugene Nalimov

Hi, just giving you a heads up on a prod. Reading over the stub I just don't see any substantial claim of notability. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 05:23, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

  • The references to the article refer to some kind of award. He sounds notable in the area of computer chess. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 07:46, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the reply. I've had some experience in the computer chess world (mainly with ICC, my brother's an IM). While Nalimov does garner the occasional mention when discussing tablebases, I don't see him as having made any sort of impact to the history of chess. Since the prod was contested I've decided to [[nominate Nalimov's article for deletion. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 07:54, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Don't remove prod tags

Please don't remove prod tags without improving the articles. The tag reads "You may remove this message if you improve the article," just because you think an unsourced three sentence article is worth keeping doesn't give you the right to unprod it without improving it. PatriotBible 02:26, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Reply: I removed the {{prod}} tag because the statement "Doesn't assert notability" seemed to be incorrect. Of course the article could be improved, and I normally do try to improve articles when I argue that they should be kept. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 02:43, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
"Seemed" is your opinion, only your opinion, as you can see with the afd; your keep opinion is unique. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with letting article go through proding since it will likely get better or be removed. BTW: Are you arguing for a merge now? PatriotBible 03:14, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ron Delezio

Thanks for the heads up. It really is a bad faith nomination. I don't know what we can do about this type of deletionist fundamentalism.
