[edit] Talk:Swinford 22:22, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, your recent edits have been reverted as they could be seen to be defamatory or potentially libellous. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Robotman1974 22:22, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, whatever. Thanks for welcoming me and all, but I've been part of wikipedia a good year. What was libelous? the only thing I edited was the discussion page on swindon (or whatever that mayo town was), and I didn't say anything libelous. Do you think it makes me feel better about wikipedia if I can't even write that "this page was better before it was made unfunny", or whatever I said? I haven't edited a page in months! I'm too scared to! I only post on discussion pages and instruct people to change things. I'm worried that if I make a mistake I won't do it right. Like the wiki, your rules change all the time. You probably won't read this. Good night and good luck.

Hi Trumad, I issued that template warning in response to this defamatory edit. Wikipedia's policy of no personal attacks is non-negotiable. Also, article talk pages are for discussing the articles to which they're attached, not for making comments about Wikipedia in general. Robotman1974 00:05, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

how can you see this so quickly? I don't want to ruin wikipedia or anything, but what about the man above who was defamatory by saying eejit? Why won't you revert that comment? Trumad 00:10, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi Trumad, I added your user page to my watch list, that's how editors can keep track of their communication. As for the "eejit" comment, I don't even know what that is. You should take up the issue with whoever left the comment. Robotman1974 00:17, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/eejit - if that's not defamatory I don't know what is. Trumad 11:29, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

I see. That is defamatory. It's nowhere near as defamatory though, as insulting the inhabitants of an entire town or calling other Wikipedia editors Nazis. In my view, those last two are serious enough to be removed from the talk page as vandalism. I'm keeping an eye on the page now, so if anything else along those lines is added by anyone, it too will be removed. Robotman1974 14:32, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Phpbber, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. John254 13:20, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gurubb

A tag has been placed on Gurubb, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Gurubb. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. GhostPirate 13:22, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
