Truthless Heroes was the third album released by the U.S. band Project 86. It was released on September 24, 2002. It debuted at number 146 on the Billboard Top 200 with over 7000 copies sold. It was the fastest selling Project 86 album until 2005's ...And the Rest Will Follow. Album sold over 70,000 copies in the first nine months of release before the band left Atlantic Records. It is a concept album that frontman Andrew Schwab states is a "thirteen-song story about a character, ignored, [who] channels the self-loathing into pursuing greatness. The album takes you through his attempts to gratify himself and fulfill his deepest needs as a person through fame, fortune, lust... whatever." (interactive CD interview) In Andrew Schwab's book "It's all Downhill From Here". He talks about how the album didn't turn out the way the band wanted it to.
