Truffle shuffle

The truffle shuffle is the name given to the dance performed by the character Chunk (Jeff Cohen) in the 1985 Richard Donner film The Goonies. Chunk performs the dance at the request of his friend "Mouth" (Corey Feldman), who refuses him entry to his friends' home until the dance is performed. Chunk reluctantly complies. The dance itself consists of Chunk raising his shirt to expose his pudgy stomach and chest area. He then proceeds to "shuffle," causing his flesh to jiggle. All of this is done while Chunk makes a gurgling sound which complements the dance. After Mouth has gotten his laughs, Chunk is allowed into the Walsh residence.

- In an episode of Family Guy (Breaking Out Is Hard To Do), the Griffin family encounters the Goonies in the sewers and Peter forces Chunk to perform the "Truffle Shuffle".
- In the Drawn Together episode "A Tale of Two Cows", Toot Braunstein does the dance in celebration after Xandir agrees to accompany her to her fat camp reunion.

Before Goonies started filming, Jeff caught chicken pox. Afraid that they would re-cast the role, Jeff told no one of his illness and showed up to work anyway. According to the commentary track on the Goonies DVD, you can see the chicken pox on Jeff's chest during the famous "Truffle Shuffle" sequence.
