True Parents

True Parents is a term used by the members of the Unification Church, referring to a perfect man and perfect woman blessed in marriage by God. According to church teaching, Adam and Eve should have become the first True Parents, but because of the Fall of Man, they became ineligible. Jesus, had he found and married a bride, would have become the True Father of mankind ("everlasting father", Isaiah 9:6).

According to the teachings of the Unification Church, God commanded Reverend Moon to work for the salvation of humanity, and is the "True Parent" of humankind, who has realized the ideal of true love as the incarnation of God's word. The members associated with the Unification Movement generally address or refer to Rev. and Mrs. Moon as "Father" and "Mother".

True Parents is also one of the titles of a collection of fifteen books, considered as one of the main topics and core teaching of Rev. Moon.
