Trudie Goodwin

Trudie Goodwin (born 13 November 1951 in London), is an English actress best known for playing Sergeant June Ackland in the British television police drama The Bill since 1984.

She attended Eltham Hill Technology College and was part of Greenwich Council's campaign "Get a Life, Get a Greenwich Education"

Goodwin has appeared in The Bill since its pilot, Woodentop, which was part of the storyboard plays for Thames TV in 1983. However, in February 2006, Goodwin announced she would be leaving the serial drama at the end of the year.[1]. She also took a sabbatical from the show lasting several months in 2005 in order to pursue other interests. Her last episodes aired in March 2007.
