Trucksville, Pennsylvania

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Trucksville is an unincorporated village located in Kingston Township, Pennsylvania, a township of Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It is the "neighbor town" of Shavertown, located literally adjacent to Trucksville. The village is the site of the Lands at Hillside Farms, a popular small dairy store planned to expand into a major U.S. attraction the likes of Williamsburg, Virginia. The town has a volunteer fire department, pizza place, Methodist church, and less than 10,000 residents. Mostly middle to upper class people live here. The dairy, Hillside Farms, serves ice cream, their own milk, and many other condiments. Now under new management, it is expected to grow into a larger facility. It is named for the town's founder, William Trucks. Trucksville's favorite son, Andy Rogers, is currently a freshman at Yale University. He enjoys running and playing the bassoon.
