Talk:True Jesus Church in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

[edit] Nom en français

The name of their church was changed from EJC to "Veritable-Jesus-Eglise"

I hope this isn't true! It's very bad French. If I was asked to translate, I'd have said Église du Véritable Jésus-Christ. Of course nobody's asked me...! QuartierLatin1968 El bien mas preciado es la libertad 16:22, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Well, what is the EJC in the first place? Eglise Jesus-Christ? I have to admit that all of this Chinese pentacostalism flourishing throughout the 20th century & even during the communist regime absolutely fascinates me. -THB 01:13, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

The EJC is the acronym for "Église de Jésus-Christ" (Church of Jesus Christ), that was formed by Pastor Banyanga and another co-worker in 1992 and it currently has 11 churches and 8 places of worship.
The EJC is most likely a splinter group from the mainstream "Church of Christ in Congo" (This church's roots can probably be traced back to the "Church of Christ"). --George Thompson 04:55, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
