Trout Lake, Northwest Territories

Trout Lake (Slavey language: Saamba K'e) is a "Designated Authority"[1] in the Dehcho Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada. The community is located near the Alberta border, east of Fort Liard, in the southern NWT. It has no all-weather road, but can be reached by winter road early in the year.

Population is 70 according to the 2001 Census, all of which are First Nations.[2]

The Dene of the community are represented by the Sambaa K’e Dene Band and belong to the Dehcho First Nations.[3]
