Trotting horse

A trotting horse is a standardbred horse whose gait is diagonal, called trot. In a diagonal gait, horse's forelegs move in unison with the hindlegs on the opposite side – left foreleg with right hindleg and left hindleg with right foreleg. The other gait used by standardbred horses is the pace.
