Tropical Park Derby

The Tropical Park Derby is a race for thoroughbred horses. It is run on January 1st each year at Calder Race Course. The race is open to three year olds. It is set at a distance of one and one-eighth miles on the turf. The race is the first graded prep race to the Kentucky Derby.
