[edit] Other Programs

Yori
Yori
Ram
Ram
  • Yori: Yori is Tron's girlfriend and she was created by Alan Bradley's girlfriend Lora, she was also a maintenance program in the simulation hangar.
  • Ram: An actuarial program in an insurance company who enjoyed helping people plan for their future needs, he was Tron's best friend and helped Tron and Flynn escape from the game arena. Sadly, he was blasted by a tank program which injured him greatly. After finding out that Flynn was a User Ram de-rezzed peacefully.
  • Dumont and the Guardians: Dumont is the guardian program of the only remaining active I/O Tower and is in charge of communications between the Real World and the Program World. He was created by Dr. Walter Gibbs; the other guardians were programs created by the older lab team in ENCOM in charge of the Laser Digityzing System. The Guardians are in charge of the other I/O Towers but the MCP shut them down. In the end they were re-activated and thus they were able to continue their original purpose.
  • Glitch Guards: They are Sark's third highest ranked warriors and were created from discarded data. Unlike regular programs the Glitch Guards are fiercely loyal to Sark and will follow any of his commands.
  • Clu and Bit: Clu was Kevin Flynn's best program but he was de-rezzed by Sark when he refused to say who programmed him. Bit was Clu's partner and Flynn's weakest program that was only capable of saying yes or no. He tends to run away in the face of danger.
  • Crom: Crom is a compound interest program that worked at a saving and loan. Because he isn't very advanced he can get tired very easily. He knew Ram for a short time but sadly Crom was de-rezzed after Flynn refused to kill him. His creator and user is a full branch manager named Mr. Henderson.

[edit] Kingdom Hearts II

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

In Kingdom Hearts II, when Sora is digitized into Space Paranoids (the game's Tron-based world), he and friends first encounter Tron in a Pit Cell, where they all have been sent to by Sark. After helping Tron break free, they activate a power core which allows them to access the real world, allowing Sora and company the ability to pass between them. Tron revealed he is trying to access the DTD (Door to Darkness) but cannot obtain the right password. He sends Sora to the real world, where they find the password behind a portrait of Xehanort. Tron then hacks the DTD, gaining back all of his functions, and granting Sora access to information on the Heartless and the Nobodies. He then changes the password to Sora, Donald and Goofy to bide himself some time against the MCP while he and Sora's group fight a pitched battle with a Hostile Program at the I/O Tower, which they defeat. Tron then informs the trio of Ansem's status as his user and enemy; the latter because he rebooted the MCP. It is unknown if Tron later became aware of the fact that the person who rebooted the MCP was actually Ansem's apprentice, Xehanort.

Later, Tron is forced onto the game grid in a fight for his life. Meanwhile, Hollow Bastion is under attack by Heartless that the MCP has downloaded into reality. Sora and co. return to save Tron, and he soon learns that he has a lot of user friends: Leon, Cid Highwind, Merlin, Yuffie, and Aerith and then Cloud Strife. They then return to the I/O Tower where Tron receives a special Eradicator program for use against the MCP. A solar sailer ride later, they arrive at the mainframe. They engage in battle with Commander Sark. They defeat him, but he is then upgraded by the MCP, who tries to convince Tron to join it. Tron refuses, and the gang deletes the MCP. In the fight, he has a Delete reaction with Sora to drain the MCP's health. In his happiness at the victory, Tron shows himself to have a "silly side". He then bids goodbye to his friends with a hug each, promising to see them again, before diving into the mainframe to take over the MCP's functions. Back on the outside, the Heartless disappear, and Tron gives his new friends something he dug out of the archives: Footage of when the Hollow Bastion Committee got to work & began remembering Sora at that time. From watching the footage, Aerith revealed their home's real name as "Radiant Garden".

Tron, like the other characters has a unique limit attack when teamed with Sora. Tron's is Setup, where he and Sora float on a platform and fire data at various enemies.

In the game credits, Tron is given a new program, and he can be seen dancing. This shows that he picked up his new friends' "illogical habits".

It is debatable that Tron might be the most important Disney character (other than the main characters) in Kingdom Hearts II because his story directly ties into Hollow Bastion's story. Also numerous characters are aware of his existence and he interacts with some of them in the end.
