Troilus and Cressida (opera)

Troilus and Cressida is the most important opera by William Walton. The libretto by Christopher Hassall is based on Chaucer's poem Troilus and Criseyde. The opera made its debut at Covent Garden, London on 3 December 1954. It was only a moderate success.
