[edit] Summary

Description

Tropical Storm Dean was spinning to the southeast of Nova Scotia in this SeaWiFS image captured on August 27, 2001. The image also shows bright aquamarine water over the Grand Banks of Newfoundland to the northeast of the storm. To the west of the storm, a thick band of aerosol hangs over the east coast of the United States. A bit of dust from Africa is visible in the lower right corner of the original image.
