[edit] History
Teensay started in 2000 as "Teensite.co.uk", with first a chat and some other features. In 2003, the owner of Teensite changed the host to Nitronet and renamed the site Teensay (the old name, Teensite now refers to another chatsite). Since that time, 7 new features have been added, with Funny Videos, Glitter Graphics and Avatars being the newest.
[edit] Description
Teensay's main colours are blue and white, with a graffiti-style site heading.
The forums (an IPB-style forum) are also blue and white, though with different styling. The forum options allow users to change skins.

[edit] Issues and Concerns
[edit] Maintenence
Though traffic isn't as large as other sites, the chat periodically has problems with lag and "ghost users", and some of the other features do not show up with certain browsers.
[edit] Hacking
- Chat
The chat of Teensay has been the target of many hackers, for reasons of retaliation, alieviation of boredom or fun. Usually when the site is hacked, it is either down (unable to pop-up) or the settings have changed from the normal blue-white scheme, along with extra rooms and illegal administrators/moderators. Currently efforts by the site administration have placed more safeguards to protect the chat, though it is undetermined how long they stay effective.
- Forums
Hacking doesn't happen as often, since it is easier to ban and catch hackers on the message boards.
[edit] Sexual Predators and Harrasment
Sexual predators are not common on the site, as far as it is known. There has been instances with known sexual predators, and the site has a chat safety page with guidelines and outlines of how to notice and report a sexual predator.
Another issue is sexual harrasment on both boards and chat. As there is many users, alot of them come on with sexual names (example:"cock4u") and harrass chat users for "cyber sex" and web cam links. The administration has placed rules to disallow this kind of behavoir and actions, though on the chat it is in need of improvement.
[edit] "Rivalry"
Some of the regular chat users have a sort of rivalry with another chat site. [3] TeenToday or "TT", where each side hacks or purposely lags (commonly called flooding) the other's chat. The administration of both chat's disapprove of this, while it disrupts the enjoyment of other chat users and causes problems with maintenance.
