Trixter was a glam metal band formed in Paramus, New Jersey in 1984.
The band's self-titled debut album attained gold status, reaching #28 on the Billboard 200. The album did spawn three minor hit singles, "Surrender" (#72), "One in a Million" (#75), and "Give it to me Good" (#65). Their sophomore effort, Hear, was released in 1992.
The band recorded an album of cover songs, Undercovers, in 1994. This album garnered little commercial success and Trixter broke up shortly after its release.
They stated on VH1's Top 40 Hair Band Countdown that their goal was to play the arena near their hometown, Continental Airlines Arena, in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This was achieved when they opened for the Scorpions.
Trixter was originally managed by Shark Management, which was founded by Ken Makow (after whom the company was named) and operated by Makow, who is now a web media consultant and designer, and Joel Weinshanker, who is now CEO of the National Entertainment Collectibles Association or NECA.
