Triumph Quadrant

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Triumph Quadrant was an experimental 1000cc four-cylinder Triumph.

It was designed by Doug Hele, and built in 1973, its top speed was reputedly 125 mph. It was meant to compete with the Japanese superbikes of the era but it came too late to help the company. Most parts were stock Trident items but the camshaft was built outside the factory. It was kept secret by Hele until completed and nicknamed the Quadrant.
