The Triumph Daytona 955i, an evolution from the T595 designation, was an overall upgrade from the earlier model. Having sprung to life proudly wearing "triple fuel injection" decals, in reference to its fuel-injected triple cylinder block, the first Daytona models suffered from a slight injection-induced slump in the 5000-6000rpm range. The 955i version sported a Sagem 6000, instead of the original Sagem 10000 controller, which to some extent corrected that behavior. A very nimble motorcycle, the Triumph Daytona 955i is known for its character, its British heritage (leaking o-rings et al), and for the triple-cylinder configuration.
