Trique

The Trique or Triqui are an indigenous people of western Oaxaca, Mexico, centered in the Municipios Juxtlahuaca and Putla. They number around 23,000 according to the Ethnologues surveys. The Trique language is a Mixtecan language of Oto-Manguean genetic affiliation. The Trique of Copala are known for their distinctive woven huipiles.
