"Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart" (sometimes simply called "Trippin' on a Hole") is a song by Stone Temple Pilots, featured on their third album Tiny Music... Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop. The core music was actually written by the band's drummer Eric Kretz, while the lyrics were written by Weiland. Although many fans have different interpretations of the lyrics, Scott directly stated in a radio interview that the very ambiguous and mysterious lyrics to the song actually alluded to a "very bad experience dropping acid."
The song is featured in the video game Guitar Hero II.
