Trinity High School (Euless, Texas)

Trinity High School is a public school in Euless, Texas. It administers grade levels 10-12 and is a part of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District.

The school is named for the nearby Trinity River. The school's mascot is a Trojan, a citizen of Troy. The Trinity High School team was the Texas State Football Champions in 2005.

A rivalry exists between Trinity and neighboring L.D. Bell High School. Some commonly used pejorative phrases used by Trinity students to mock their rival school are, "What's that smell?, L.D. Bell!" "L.D. Who?," and "Beat Bell." Three Trinity seniors from the class of 1999 pulled a classic prank on their rival. After scaling the walls, they entered L.D. Bell's courtyard where they climbed a tower to steal the 300lb bell. The bell remained in Trinity's possession for a few weeks until police forced the students to give it back. Currently the Trinity football team has an 8 game winning streak against Bell, beating them the past 8 years.

Euless, Texas is home to a large population of Tongans. Likewise, Trinity High School is unique because of its large percentage of Tongan students. The high school's Trojans football team has achieved notoriety for its performance of the traditional New Zealand Maori Ka Mate haka dance before games.[1]
