Trini Decombe

Trini (Trinidad) Decombe was born in Santiago, Chile on July 12, 1982. She is a popular Chilean poet and novelist. Her first novel was Cuando un hombre envejece en soledad (translated as When a Guy Grows Old in Solitude). She has also written a volume of English poetry under the title of Red Bricks, which provides a modern reflection of life in London. NADIE TE CONOCE TRINI
Educated in both Chile and England, Trini's collection of poetry has been inspired by Louis Zukofsky, Allen Fisher and Philip Larkin. Her first novel was greatly influenced by the writings of Gabriel García Márquez, whose style of Magic Realism was adapted to provide a dreamy and inventive plot about the ongoing struggles of growing up in Chile.
