Trikarpur is a village in the northern part of the state of Kerala, India, south of the Kasargod district. Trikarpur Panchayath is composed of North and South Trikarpur villages.It became part of Kerala with that state's formation on November 1, 1956.among them.

The name Trikarpur Came from "Thiru Karipuram".It is believed that rhe famous "Gajendra Moksha" which is stated in "Shri Bhagavatham" happend at Trikarpur.This story is related to the "Sree Chakrapani Temple" .The name Thiru Karipuram is then changed in to TrikariPur. "Lord Parasurama" built thhis temple.

Trikarpur is famous for the communal harmony.The religions are Hindu,Muslim and Cristians. The Main holy spaces are Sree Chakrapani Temple,Town Juma Masjid,Thiruvambadi Temple,Udinur Koolom,St.Pauls Church and Eyakadu Ayyappa Temple.
