Trichloroisocyanuric acid (C3Cl3N3O3), also known as Symclosene, trichloro-s-triazinetrione, and trichlor, is a chemical compound used as an industrial disinfectant and a reagent in organic synthesis.[1] This white crystalline powder, which has a strong "chlorine odour," is sometimes sold in tablet or granule form for domestic use.
[edit] Use in water treatment
The compound is a disinfectant mainly for swimming pool water.
