Regarding the similarities between TriOp and OCP needing a cite, this seems to me entirely too self-evident to require one. Consider--

The main tipoff is the logo. Both corporate logos are highly similar. Both feature uniquely angular, concentric, symmetric designs. See: http://www.robocoparchive.com/info/logos.htm
The names are loosely similar: TriOptimum / Omni Consumer Products.
TriOp, like OCP, is depicted as a Gibsonesque megacorp.
RoboCop and System Shock both depict cyberpunkish themes.
Robocop was released in 1987. System Shock was released in 1994. This would have put Robocop still fresh in the public consciousness around the beginning of System Shock's development cycle.
