- What if we would like to create for example a hungarian Signpost? NCurse work 17:04, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Would it be possible to cover the Danish wikipedia? It is not very big, but I'm sure I, and other fellow wikipedians could write a nice article! 80.165.43.22 11:41, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Could you please add the Bengali Wikipedia (bn) to the schedule? Thanks. --Ragib 14:30, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- PS, I can prepare the report when it's due. --Ragib 14:30, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think we should have this report. Were trying to do a cycle of wikipedias that are big, not small. I have allowed some small ones in recently including Hungarian, and Danish but this one, many people do not have a clue to speak. (It was even tough trying to find out how many articles there are) There are more than 2,000 and that's to small. I welcome more input from the community, add your comments below here. However, we may add sentences at the bottom of the big reports about the smaller languages. I'm not sure what we should have in the report- I know you'd do a great job; but I can't find any media; nothing... ForestH2 t/c 13:43, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

- If you look at User_talk:Jimbo_Wales#Status_of_the_Bengali_Wikipedia you'll see the nucleus of such an article. I thought it was really interesting, and it isn't as if the Signpost has a limit on number of pages. Perhaps we could have a Signpost article dealing with several smaller Wikipedias at once.-gadfium 19:31, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

- Bengali language is the 4th largest in terms of native speakers, and in terms of total speakers, it is the 7th or 8th largest language in the world. I'm mentioning this because Jimbo specifically mentioned his interest in Bengali wikipedia during his wikimania speech. :).

- Anyway, as mentioned by gadfium above, I have put up a small report in Jimbo's talk page, and our article count is right now 4925, and fast approaching 5000. Bengali wikipedia needs unicode font support, as does all non-latin wikipedias, and hence these may not be viewable by people with only western language support enabled (which is a Microsoft setting ... most newer versions of Linux come pre-installed with Bangla support).

- I understand that there are many larger wikipedias ahead of Bengali wikipedia. That's fine ... but looking several months into the future, when the schedule permits, please let me know. Also, if you are doing a multiple smaller wikipedia-report, please do consider bn. The rate of increase is about 1000 articles per 3 weeks, and it will definitely be among the top 30 soon. Thanks. --Ragib 04:03, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
