The Palm Treo 680 is a combination hybrid PDA/cellphone, or smartphone, officially announced on October 12, 2006 at DigitalLife Expo [1][2][3] as the successor to the company's Treo 650. It began shipping in November 2006 in four colors: Arctic, Copper, Crimson, and Graphite. Palm has stated that Graphite will be the only color available to wireless carriers at launch and the rest will be exclusively available via Palm.com and Palm retail locations.

It is the first Treo phone based on the Palm OS to have the stubby antenna appendage removed. It is targeted at consumers with more friendly colors and easy to use advertising.
