[edit] Plot summary

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Drake and Josh's grandmother sends them a model rocket kit. Josh is excited to build it until Drake tells him that kids their age don't play with model rockets. Despite this, they decide to set up the rocket, but have trouble putting it together. They ask Megan to help them put in the fuel pod, but can't agree on the correct way to insert it, so Josh forces it in place. The rocket then falls over, launches out of their window, and causes their neighbor's tree house to explode. Drake, Josh, and Megan are forced to rebuild it the next day by their parents and their neighbors.

Megan misses her friend's birthday party because she has to help with the tree house. They manage to rebuild it fairly quickly, but after putting up the last wall and screwing it in place from the inside, they realize that they forgot to cut out a space for the door, trapping them inside. Megan is outside, but refuses to help them get out. Josh figures out that he can unscrew the screws with the electric drill so they can take the wall down but as soon as he begins to take out the first one, Megan unplugs it. Megan tortures them by grilling hamburgers, knowing they were starving up in the treehouse, she tosses a raw hamburger patty at Josh and they both eat it even while saying it was really disgusting.

Meanwhile, Drake invites Josh to a double date with twin girls. While Drake and Josh are trapped in the tree house, their dates call the house. Megan tells the girls that they moved to Canada and sends over Craig and Eric as replacement dates. The girls pretend to like them, but leave when they go to get drinks.

Drake and Josh are stuck in the tree house all day. Eventually, they attempt to break down the wall. They run into it a few times without success, but push the entire tree house down on their third try.

[edit] Trivia

  • Like another episode in the season, The Wedding, almost everything in this episode is negative: Drake & Josh blowing up the kid's tree house, Drake & Josh getting stuck in the tree house when Megan won't help them, Drake & Josh missing their dates, Drake & Josh having to eat raw hamburger meat, even Megan missing Jamie's birthday party, etc giving that much it was probably hated by fans.
  • We never know what the neighbor's kid reaction to the new tree house.
  • This is the first time Drake and Josh have ever gotten Megan in trouble with their parents but they were very close in the season 3 episode Peruvian Puff Pepper.
  • We also never know how they could get out of the tree house. However, some boards broke during the impact when the treehouse fell onto the ground, so that could have freed them.
  • This was the eighth episode to air in the UK.
  • Grammy is mentioned in this episode.
  • Running gag: Drake mispronouncing the word cone.
  • When the camera is filming them in the tree house, the wall that they're filming it through is missing.
  • When Drake and Josh play the improv game, Josh says Goose (with starts with G), and when it is Drake's turn to say a word that starts with "H", he says, "Ok, this is the worst game ever". THE CATCH: It should be Josh's turn to say a word that starts with "I", but he responds to Drake comment with four "I" words: "It is, isn't it".
  • Drake and Josh probably didn't have their cellphones with them because if they did, they could've called their parents for help.
