Treble hook

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A treble hook is a fishing hook with a single eye and shaft but three hook points set 120 degrees apart from each other. They are usually used on lures (artificial bait) to catch fish. There are many different types of brands that are available on the market.

They are often used to snag bait off piers, jetties, bridges, etc.. Usually the bait has to be thick and have to be schooling otherwise it would be very difficult to snag bait. If the bait isn't very thick than a sabiki would probably work.
