From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There have been two treaties known as the Treaty of Breda:

  • Treaty of Breda (1650), signed on May 1, 1650 between Charles II (King in exile of England, Scotland and Ireland) and the Scottish Covenanters during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms.
  • Treaty of Breda (1667), signed at the Dutch city of Breda, July 31, 1667, by England, the United Provinces (the Netherlands), France, and Denmark. It brought a hasty and inconclusive end to the Second Anglo-Dutch War (1665–1667)
