Treasurer of the Ordnance

The Treasurer of the Ordnance was a subordinate of the Master-General of the Ordnance and a member of the Board of Ordnance from 1670, when the office was created. The office was abolished in 1836 and its duties merged with that of several others to form the office of Paymaster-General.
