[edit] Image:Rfonxm.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Rfonxm.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Chowbok 02:17, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] image deletion

I noticed you nominated for deletion on Images for Deleteion your own upload. In future, you are able to apply the {{db-author}} tag to the image page of uploads you have contributed. I have applied it to the Ron&fez image for you with an appropriate edit summary; it is always better to have the author apply the author speedy tag. If there are any questions, please drop me a note on my talk page.--Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 20:03, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Holly

Really? They're getting that channel? --Tv's emory 03:45, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

It may not be on XM Canada's PDF but CanadianTravKoolBreeze 15:39, 14 November 2006 (UTC) members on xmfan are saying they can hear the channel.

[edit] XMChannels

Please do not add navigation templates to only marginally related articles. I'd suggest you remove the template (if it hasn't been done yet) from all articles which are not directly about XM Radio (such as National Basketball Association, Big East Conference, U.S. Open (tennis) etc.) Femto 13:51, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Many of the articles for athletic leagues or conferences and news channels or other content providers already contain a link to XM Satellite Radio. It would be more appropriate to place the template there (it is not there now) rather than in all of the other pages. If all media which covered athletic events or carried content were to place templates, program guides, or similar tables on all articles related to those events or that content, such additions would overwhelm the articles. So my suggestion is to limit use of the template to articles specific to XM. Thank you. Kablammo 14:28, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
I agree with Femto and Kablammo. Melchoir 02:19, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:WNLSam.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:WNLSam.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
