[edit] St. Catharines article et all
Hey dude, thanks for the work you've done on the St. Catharines and related articles. It's nice to see the article grow from nothing more than a stub when I first edited it to a large article with a wealth of information on the city. Good show, keep up the good work! [edit] St. Cats/Community Photos
Hey dude, I don't know if you get down to the Facer Street area often, but if you could snap a picture of that large Ukrainian Church at the corner of Niagara, Vine and Facer that would be an excellent photo for the Facer page. Pictures of the war-time homes (in contrast to the North End, which is all suburban-style) would be quite cool to add, too. I've been meaning to snap some photos myself to add, I just haven't gotten around to you. Snickerdo 07:41, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hey dude, I've managed to get a picture from the side of Sts. Cyril and Methodus Church on the corner of Niagara/Vine/Facer and added it to the Facer article. I didn't get a chance to stop and take some pictures of the other places though, it would be awesome if you got some pictures of the shops, cafes and churches in the area. Facer is certainly one of the most unique areas of St. Catharines, and I hope to expand the article much more than it is right now. I might also tie in Ryderville into the article, which is the subdivision directly to the east going towards Bunting Road and more or less included as part of the North End. It is a much newer development that is entirely residential and part of the Grantham Annex, but still home to many Polish and Ukrainian immigrants - including my Grandmother. I also added some pictures for Glenridge, and also have pictures for Western Hill when I actually go ahead and make the article. The St. Catharines article and its associated sub-articles are certainly getting to be something special. I also need to get an article done for Secord Woods along with some pictures. Secord Woods is what Martindale and Vansickle will look like in 10-15 years. Snickerdo 17:15, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Getting your own images deleted
You can request your own images speedy deleted by any admin (or using {{db-author}}) under criteria G7 of WP:CSD:
- Author requests deletion. Any page for which deletion is requested by the original author, provided the page was edited only by its author and was mistakenly created. If the author blanks the page, this can be taken as a deletion request. Note: Please check the page history to make sure there is only a single author.
Just a heads up in case you didn't know. Circeus 04:32, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] about Niagara Health System
Hey there. I noticed your created that article; I also noticed most of it was copied verbatim from http://www.niagarahealth.on.ca/about/index.html. That's generally a no-no on Wikipedia, in accordance to WP:COPY. It's definitely okay to source facts -- but the words you use to describe them have to be your own. I noticed this and rewrote in my own words (sure they sound similar... they're describing the same thing... but they're my own), but someone else could have just slapped a big honking {{copyvio}} template on it and got it deleted. Please avoid doing this in the future...
Also, when you create an article that has to do with Niagara, please categorise it under Category:Niagara Region, Ontario or one of its subcategories. It makes it much easier for other editors to find the articles; I only found your NHS article by looking through the list of pages that link to Regional Municipality of Niagara, Ontario.
Other than that, happy editing! :) --Qviri (talk) 15:18, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jeff Wincott
Hey Trappy,
Do you have any means of confirming whether or not Jeff Wincott is an alum of Ryerson University? This inquiry is simply for fact-checking. --Folajimi 19:43, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Facer Street
Hey dude, I'll see what I can do, but I very well may end up dead with the French flag I plan on draping over my car. Not that I'm a fan of the French team, but man, anyone is better than those damn Italians :-p Snickerdo 02:26, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

And from Czech Republik is it in St. Catharines "a little long way".

[edit] Re: Yankee and the Fattest City crap
Heh, did he threaten you as being a vandal of a page you've worked on for the last two years, like he did me? I'm just going to keep removing the reference and keep telling him to go to the :talk. Snickerdo 03:22, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mediation Cabal regarding St. Catharines, Ontario
A request for informal mediation has been lodged with the Mediation Cabal, and I have taken the case and will be serving as the mediator. The request page for this case is viewable here. I'm going to have a read through of all the material and post all discussion on the article talk, although if you have any specific queries feel free to add them on my talk page. I just want to remind you that participation in mediation is voluntary, but should be a good starting point for discussion and help to prevent sanctions or administrative solutions. I look forward to discussing the article with you. Jem 15:20, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
