From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Travel Town Museum is an outdoor transportation museum in Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California. The primary collection focus of the Travel Town Museum is the history of railroad transportation in the western United States from 1880 to the 1930s. Southern California and Los Angeles are particularly emphasized.
Travel Town was dedicated on December 14, 1952. The Museum has several steam locomotives and many other pieces of rolling stock. No excursions are offered, although Griffith Park has a miniature railway with separate admission[1].
The museum is open daily, except Christmas. Admission to the museum is free.
