TravelRepublic.co.uk is the trading name of Travel Republic Ltd, an ABTA bonded, UK-based travel agency, launched in 2003.

Travel Republic’s sales have increased from £2.8 million to £52.6 million in three years. The dramatic business growth has been linked to the in-house IT expertise and high staff retention.

Travel Weekly magazine recently ranked the company 15th out of the UK's top twenty travel agencies, next to Virgin.[1]

Travel Republic was founded by Paul Furner, Chris Waite and Kane Pirie. The trio met at UEA in 1989 whilst studying applied computing. Travel Republic is an independent travel company and been an ABTA member for two decades.

Travel Republic started as a small High Street travel agent. It is currently the only UK travel website with a live link to 25 charter flight operators, 10 low-cost airlines, 100 scheduled airlines and over 30,000 hotels and holiday apartments.

The company has three popular websites (travelrepublic.co.uk, greatlatedeals.co.uk, and onlineflorida.co.uk) which are all driven by bespoke, real-time software giving consumers up-to-the-minute prices and availability.

Travel Republic was the winner in TravelMole.Com's 2006 Travel & Tourism Web Awards in the category of "Best Travel Agent Site", beating Thomas Cook.[2]

Travel Republic was a finalist in "the United Kingdom Full Service Bookable E-Commerce Leisure and Travel Site of the Year" during the 2006 Agent Achievement Awards and has been again nominated for the 2007 Awards in the "UK Airseat Agent of the Year" and "UK Online Agent of the Year" categories.[3]
