Transworld depravity

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Transworld depravity is a concept explained by Alvin Plantinga as the claim that given any possible world in which a free person (P) exists, P will on certain occasions act morally wrong with respect to an action. He claims that this may not only be a property possessed by some, but rather a universal property of individuals.

It should perhaps be noted that this claim implies a denial of the actual sinlessness of the Theotokos, the Holy Mother of God, and is therefore incompatible with traditional Christian belief.
