Transgression is the sixth studio album by the American Industrial metal band Fear Factory. It was released on August 23, 2005. Guest appearances include Billy Gould the former bassist of Faith No More and Lamb of God guitarist, Mark Morton who co-writes a song. It is also released as an Enhanced CD. One can also retrieve another bonus track, entitled "My Grave", from an internet site. [1]

The album was met with mixed reviews - however was largely well-received by critics and fans alike. Many have cited the downpoint of the album being the poor production, however guitar player Christian Olde Wolbers has stated that the band was disappointed with the album due to its hurried finish due to demands from the bands label. This also accounts for the coversongs. Wolbers stated that had the band had more time to finish the record, more tracks would have been included, and the album overall would have sounded better.
