Trans-Rail was a railfreight operator based in South West England, Wales, the North West and Scotland. It was formed in 1994 prior to the privatisation of British Rail.

The company livery was based on the previous Trainload Freight two-tone grey livery, with the addition of a blue and red "T" logo and Trans-Rail branding.

Trans-Rail, along with Mainline Freight and Load-Haul were purchased by EWS in 1996.
