Trainbots

The Trainbots are a team of six robots who appeared in the Japanese series Transformers: Headmasters. They transform into different styles of locomotive and rail vehicles. They could link with each other forming a more powerful train or form a single rail vehicle. They combine into a gestalt named Raiden.

The six Trainbots are:

Getsuei

  • Function: Night Fighter
  • Profile: Displays his might in nocturnal battles. Can locate enemies quickly even in darkness. During the afternoon, he goofs off in a daze somewhere.
  • Alternate Mode: EF60 electric locomotive.
  • Voice: Kazuo Oka.

Kaen

  • Function: Heavy Mobile Fighter
  • Profile: The strongest of the Trainbots. Takes pride in his physical condition.
  • Alternate Mode: DE-10 Diesel locomotive.
  • Voice: Masaharu Sato.

Seizan

  • Function: Mountain Fighter
  • Profile: Cannot be defeated in mountain battles. Will suddenly display his power on heart-stopping slopes. Likes viewing Nature's majestic mountains.
  • Alternate Mode: Limited Express Series 485-1000 locomotive.
  • Voice: unknown.

Shouki

  • Function: Trainbot Commander
  • Profile: Defeats enemies in battle with his super speed. Can travel across the Space Bridge the fastest when linked to his younger brother Yukikaze. While fast on his feet and wheels, he can also be pretty irresponsible.
  • Alternate Mode: Series 0 Tokaido bullet train
  • Voice: Keiichi Noda.

Suiken

  • Function: Plains Warrior
  • Profile: Can battle on any terrain, no matter how rugged, and proceed along complex routes through space. Very knowledgeable thanks to his long experience in battle.
  • Alternate Mode: 153 Express locomotive
  • Voice: Kazumi Tanaka.

Yukikaze

  • Function: Heavy Snow Fighter
  • Profile: Cannot be defeated when fighting on snow. He and his big brother Shouki's Speed Attack is invincible. Being weak against heat, he hates nothing more than to be linked with Kaen.
  • Alternate Mode: Series 200 Tohoku-Joetsu bullet train
  • Voice: unknown

The Trainbots would have an odd cameo in Dreamwave's Generation One ongoing series. In issue 3, they are seen amongst the Autobots in Iacon's Great Hall as Prowl attempted to calm the populace.
