Trabuco Hills houses one of the most accomplished high school music programs in the state of California. Its drumline and marching band have performed in various regional and state competitions. The school's Symphonic Orchestra has performed, among other pieces, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Russian Easter Overture at a national festival in Orlando Florida, and set an all time record for highest score achieved at that prestigious festival. On the heels of that tremendous accomplishment, it recently turned down an invitation to perform in Carnegie Hall. The current director of the music program is Dr. Howard Stephens and Mr. Russell Moreau.

Model UN is currently incorporated into the social science curriculum as an optional component in the freshman cultural geography course and the sophomore world history course. A junior-senior level international studies and comparative government course was discontinued in 2004.

Delegates representing THHS MUN have attended numerous prestigious conferences including UC Berkeley, UC Irvine and El Toro High School.
