not sure what examples are appropriate here, but added one of the best i've seen.

[edit] External links
I've removed some of the external links to commercial sites and marked the article for further spam cleanup. It's difficult to decide which ones should be included, but Wikipedia is not an Internet directory or a mere collection of external links (see Wikipedia:External links). It appears that some sites were added for promotional purposes, leading operators of other sites to follow suit. Wmahan. 17:49, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Examples?
Just curious what the criteria are for inclusion. I checked out the examples that were there, and added my own, but mine was removed. Perhaps there shouldn't be any?

- Maybe you are right that some of the remaining links don't belong; I'm not endorsing them. But I removed your link because using Wikipedia to promote a site is not allowed, and links to blogs are generally discouraged unless they offer uniquely informative, relevant content. See Wikipedia:External links. In general, you should not add links to your own site to Wikipedia.
[edit] External link to travel blog as an example of travel literature
Hi
I was wanting to add this external link: http://la-via-lattea.blogspot.com/
I am aware of Wikipedia's general policy of owners of sites not linking back to their sites from here, particularly blogs.
However, the blog is neutral (in the sense that it does not put push any political/religious line or attempt to raise debate or controversy),is not-for-profit, contains no advertising and constitutes a travel blog in the form of a collection of dated short stories.
In the hope that you might consider it worthy of linking as an interesting example of the article's content, I thank you in advance for your time.
