You are correct that the material is similar to the page http://vam.anest.ufl.edu/tr.html.

I am Sem Lampotang, the creator of the page http://vam.anest.ufl.edu/tr.html. Do I need copyright permission from myself to use my own material in Wikipedia?

  • You will need to release the text under GFDL for it to be used in wikipedia. Regardless, this subject may be too obscure for an article here anyway. exolon 19:15, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

I would not call this subject obscure with more than 26,000 registered users worldwide using our free transparent reality simulations and more than 336 institutions and programs using it in their curricula when we last counted in March 2003 http://vam.anest.ufl.edu/vam-institutional-use.doc

  • It may be notable enough then, but you still need to address the copyright issue. Also the article is riddled with technobabble. "model-driven, display-based simulation modality" means what exactly? I'm reasonably well read and intelligent, but after reading this article, I've no idea what the hell Transparent Reality Simulation is. exolon 19:34, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

OK, I will fix the page to use lay English and I am assuming that the edits will also fix the copyright issue.

I have created new text to address the copyright issue and avoided the techno-babble. I have also provided links to concrete examples of transparent reality to help in understanding what TR is. I have also tried to differentiate it from VR and AR. Let me know if the latest edits meet the criteria for removing the article from the deletion list. Thanks.
