Talk:Transcona, Manitoba

I love how the April 4, 2006 entry by jdebaets chastises the previous writer for "piss poor grammer". The correct spelling is "Grammar". Piss poor speling in my opinion.

[edit] Sound clip

It is well known that Transcona residents have a unique english accent. It would be nice if we could add an exemplar sound clip.

Well known by whom? Been a Winnipegger for the past 27 years, and a Transconian for the past 2.5, I've never heard mention of that (though I have heard other, non-encyclopedic comments about the residents). Transcona's a mix of people from all over Winnipeg, so there's not much chance of a "Transcona accent." (And, before you ask I"m not contributing my voice for a few reasons: 1) I'm not originally from Transcona, 2) I've only lived in Transcona for two and a half years, and 3) I have a speech impediment (completely unrelated to living in Transcona!) which would not be a good example of any kind of accent.) --Canuckguy 04:23, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
