Talk:Traditional Nordic dance music
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"All four Nordic countries"? I thought there were five Nordic countries. What about Iceland? Erik 14:32, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

I have some problems with the title of this page. It seems there is no English translation of the word spelman etc. The most widespread word in English text maybe is the Finnish pelimanni; "pelimanni music" yields 174 google hits. I suppose traditional Nordic dance music is unambiguous, but oh so boring... but if we shouldn't use Wikipedia to market newly invented terms, then maybe this is the best. / Habj 00:42, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Spelemann
The only correct spelling in Norwegian is "spelemann". Not "spellman" nor "speleman". Noruga 09:17, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
