Although the image is only five years old, the colors and lack of any anachronistic elements (even the observers on the pedestrian crossing are far enough in the distance to not be noticeable) make it look like a color shot from the 1940s.   • It doesn't look like an old photo if you know what you're looking for! The livery of the engine puts in in the period 1950-1952, the speed plate on the side 1959-1966 and, the blue/grey mark 1 coach behind it is 1967 onwards I'm afraid, so it's a mishmash of three periods. — Dunc| 15:09, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
