Town And Country is Humble Pie's second album. It finds the band in a more acoustic mood than previously, with all four band members contributing to the songs, and Peter Frampton playing more acoustic guitar as Steve Marriott played more keyboards. It also featured a unique cover of the classic Buddy Holly song "Heartbeat" and the stand-out Marriott composition "Every Mother's Son". It was after this album that Humble Pie forged their trademark sound of heavy guitar rock and would continue in that similar vein until 1975 when they disbanded.
