Toward the Unknown is a 1956 movie about the dawn of supersonic flight filmed on location at an American airbase. Starring William Holden and Lloyd Nolan, the film features the screen debut of James Garner. Written by Beirne Lay, Jr. and directed by Mervyn LeRoy.
