Talk:Tour 05 It Withers and Withers

[edit] DTS audio

This is the either the second or third release with a DTS track - 5 Ugly Kingdom was the first. Basing this off the fact that I own an offical copy with a DTS track, and also that a review at http://www.kfccinema.com/reviews/music/direngreykingdom/direngraykingdom.html cites the DTS track. I've also seen pirated releases of Average Fury on EBAY that claim to have a DTS track, not sure if it's present on the official release or if it's a shoddy DTS track that was whipped up by the pirates.

Somebody keeps contesting the information that this release was the first by the band with a DTS track. I have reverted the article in the hopes that the person will eventually come forward and shed some light on the matter, hopefully with proper sources. - Cyrus XIII 07:03, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] -bootlegged-

Shouldn't the It Withers and Withers -bootlegged- DVD have its own page or at least its wn tracklisting somewhere. To be complete, it seems neccessary to have a fair amount of details on this COMPLETELY separate release. They do share a name and a tiny portion of footage, but other than that, they are nothing alike. - Notjake13 14:31, 21 September 2006 (EST)

These "completely seperate" releases do actually have a few things in common. Beside the name, they both contain footage from the same tour (obviously) and they were released only a few weeks apart. Additionally there is to consider, that with few exceptions -bootlegged- does not feature full-length performances of songs (not much sense in giving a set/tracklist) and the mastering quality is indeed very low which makes it doubtful that this release was intended for much more than illustrating the band's first performances in Europe and to serve as a fan-club only supplemental release/preview/appetizer for the "real thing", in this case the widely available and fully featured/mastered It Withers and Withers, released in May. I've expanded the respective paragraph in this article though, it should cover all essential information now. Regards - Cyrus XIII 19:57, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Okay, what you've done is good. I like the work you've done on all of the pages too. Maybe there should be an article on wikipedia for [a knot], there could be a list of all of the [a knot] releases, as well as the differences between the [a knot] versions of some CDs and singles. - Notjake13 14:22, 22 September 2006 (EST)
