[edit] Toukley Bridge
"At the channel connecting Tuggerah Lake and Budgewoi Lake the new Toukley bridge was constructed between 1983 and 1985 linking Toukley on the eastern side of the Lakes system with Gorokan on the west, replacing the costly old single lane wooden bridge.
This is incorrect. At the time of the new bridge being constructed in 1983, the wooden brdge was actually double laned.I suspect lone before this that it had been a single lane. I have amended the entry accordingly. Osakadan 12:24, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Name source
believed this is where the name is derived from.[citation needed] It was a base for catching and curing fish that were then shipped to Queensland, the goldfields and back to China.
I haven't been able to find a decent, confirmable source. For the moment perhaps "local lore" would be sufficient as I have heard this dating back to the 60's.
- We don't need it to be confirmed, if you've seen the same opinion suggested in any books or anything would be enough. I think the sentence reads fine as is, so we don't need to add local lore, unless you want to, but the cite needed tag should be left in case someone comes along and does know a source. darkliight[Ď€alk] 13:16, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
